The Maestro and The European Pop Orchestra is a contemporary musical ensemble led by violin soloist and composer Guido Dieteren. Together with singer Wendy Kokkelkoren and The Dutch Tenors, maestro Guido and his orchestra prove that pop and classical styles can blend to form a new harmonious musical genre.

The pop meets classic music style guarantees a musical total experience full of romance, emotion, passion and energy. Well-known melodies are redesigned and complemented by many self-composed works by Guido. The Maestro and The European Pop Orchestra presents a complete musical journey, carrying the audience through sentiment and emotions to party music.

Guido Dieteren is an orchestra leader, violin soloist, arranger and composer. He grew up in a musical family in Limburg, the Netherlands. Guido’s great-grandfather, grandfather and father were all conductors and with it his great musical examples. At an early age, Guido established his name as a concert master and soloist of various orchestras and continued his career as conductor, violinist and soloist with his own orchestra and successful concert tours in Europe and North America.

During his conservatory study in Maastricht, Guido approached his childhood friend and pop keyboardist, Falco Borsboom, to compose and arrange a new orchestral production. Guido’s Orchestra was born – known as The Maestro and The European Pop Orchestra.

Together with his orchestra, Maestro Guido has performed in concerts all over the world, played in international TV shows, recorded and released several gold CDs and DVDs, produced large TV specials and played live for an audience of more than 3 million. Guido also collaborated as musical director with international artists such as Lionel Richie, Simply Red, Diana Ross, Andrea Bocelli, Marco Borsato, Anouk, DJ Afro Jack and many others.
