St. Regis Amman Launches Initiative to Fulfill Orphans’ Wishes

Amman, Jordan In line with its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and strengthening its role in supporting the local community, the St. Regis Amman has launched the festive season with a series of events combining humanitarian impact, creativity, and elevated hospitality. Foremost among these events is the “Wishing Tree” initiative, dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of orphaned children in partnership with Our Lady of the Mountain Elementary School and Orphanage, Latin Anjara. This initiative coincides with the display of the giant gingerbread house, a prominent landmark in the hotel’s lobby throughout the season.

On this occasion, Mr. Kemal Sirtikirmizi, Area General Manager, stated: “This year, our celebrations go beyond decoration and tradition. Through the Wishing Tree, we invite our guests to be part of something deeply meaningful—to turn a child’s hope into a cherished memory. It is a privilege to extend the generosity of the season to our wider community.”

The Wishing Tree, decorated with cards detailing the heartfeltwishes of orphans, is displayed for the hotel guests, who are encouraged to select a wish card and contribute its value at the reception desk. These contributions will facilitate the fulfillment of these wishes, with gifts to be presented to the children during a special ceremony held at the end of December. This initiative embodies a profound humanitarian spirit fostering a unique space for giving and community participation. It empowers the hotel guests to contribute to creating moments that brighten children’s lives and provide them with a sense of warmth and belonging.

As part of the year-end celebrations, the hotel is decorated with a giant gingerbread house made from gingerbread and candy, which took approximately 2,040 hours of continuous work from the pastry team, supported by hotel staff. This creative masterpiece adds a special touch to the season, contributing to a joyful atmosphere and vibrant festive preparations.

The season also includes a variety of family activities, such as the Christmas Tree Lighting event and the Winter Market offering homemade products and sweets. Additionally, there will be a brunch event taking place on the first floor across all outlets; Mercado, Segreta, and Tamara restaurant, as well as an afternoon tea experience inspired by Caroline Astor’s rituals, and a gingerbread house decorating workshop for children.

Through these initiatives, The St. Regis Amman continues its mission to enhance its community role and provide world-class hospitality intertwined with the authentic Jordanian spirit, affirming that luxury can carry social value and create a positive impact that extends beyond the boundaries of celebration.
